Grimes

Claire Elise Boucher is a Canadian musician, singer and songwriter from Canada. 2][3] The variety of her music from the beginning has been described as "lo lo R&B" and "futuristic dance-pop". Her music has used elements of hip hop electronic music and rock. Her lyrics often touch on science-fiction themes as well as feminist issues. Grimes has recorded five albums. Grimes was born in Vancouver in the early 1990s, before she moved to Montreal around 2000. Grimes started releasing her music in solo fashion from the mid 2000s. Two albums were released through Arbutus Records in 2010, Geidi Primes as well as Halfaxa in 2010. Later, she joined 4AD and gained acclaim when she released the third album of her studio, Visions, in 2012. Visions includes the singles "Genesis" and "Oblivion" and won the Canadian music industry's Juno Award for Electronic Album of the Year. Art Angels, her fourth studio album, debuted in 2015. Several publications called it one of the greatest albums. Miss Anthropocene was her fifth album.
